It seems that Celsius teamed up with Fatal1ty at E3 to have some of the new Celsius Green Teas at Fatal1ty’s booth. That’s pretty cool if you ask me. I think that Celsius and gaming go pretty well together, seeing as one give you energy to do something for a long time and helps you burn calories while sitting on your duff and the other involves sitting on your duff for long periods of time while doing something. See? They go hand in hand, like two peas in a pod. So Dan and Tim, of the Fatal1ty team, have a shot competition, downing shots of delicious Celsius Green Teas, and the first one to ten wins. I won’t spoil it, but the competition gets pretty hairy there. Check out the video for the shocking conclusion (one of them wins, and the other… loses!)
That got me thinking of a new drinking game that you can play with Celsius. You know how other drinking games have all these rules about how many shots you have to take, and what has to happen to take a shot, and what can’t happen to take a shot. It’s all really confusing, especially when all you want is that delicious beverage inside you. So here’s a new drinking game to be played exclusively with Celsius. Here are the rules:
1. Every time you see a Celsius, you drink it.
Get it? It might be tricky at first, but once you get used to it, it’s magic. I think it’s really going to catch on. Just you wait.
I’ve been savoring a case of the new Celsius Green Tea flavors all week. I have to tell you, I am in heaven here. Kudos to Celsius for being able to take the amazing Metaboost formula and apply it to a new class of beverage. In case you missed it, the new Green Tea flavors are Peach Mango and Raspberry Acai. Both are non-carbonated and use a delicious green tea as a base.
I will be the very first person to admit that original sparkling Celsius may be an acquired taste. The combination of the gingery base of the Metaboost formula and the carbonation makes for a slightly intense experience that might take a little getting used to. Don’t get me wrong, I could drink Celsius all day, but new drinkers might be turned off after their first sip of regular Celsius.
Not so with these new Green Teas, though! They are instantly drinkable from the first sip. These new Green Tea flavors have every bit of the calorie-burning and energy-giving goodness of the original, sparkling, Celsius, but without the bite of the ginger/carbonation combo. These teas can honestly be chugged, and chugged happily.
The Peach Mango flavor is a true Green Tea. The tea flavor shines through beautifully and the addition of the peach/mango mix makes it all the sweeter. Green tea aficionados will have no problems with the very believable green tea flavor Celsius has used as a base.
The Raspberry Acai flavor reminds me more of a light fruit punch. The green tea base is not as evident as the Peach Mango, but not to the drink’s detriment. What it lacks in green tea flavor is decadently made up for in the raspberry’s fruity tones. I can see myself serving this flavor in ice-filled pitchers on a hot summer day.
The new Green Tea flavors are seriously refreshing, crisp, and a delight to drink. I believe that this could be Celsius’ winner drink here. I can’t say enough good things about these new flavors. I hope they start showing up in stores soon, but for now you can order them by the case directly from Celsius: Order Celsius Green Tea online
Celsius just announced their new flavored green teas, but they’re not stopping yet. They’re backdooring this announcement with a band new coupon code!
Until September 29th, 2008 you can enter the coupon code GoGreen when ordering the new teas, and get $5 off a full case. A case of 24 of any flavor if $48, and a 12/12 case of both flavors is $49. $5 off isn’t bad at all.
Never content to rest on their laurels, Celsius has stayed up late to bring you two new flavors that I’m very happy to announce here. They are moving in a familiar, but new, direction with the announcement of two non-carbonated flavored green teas. We all know that green tea is great for you, and the original Celsius alway had EGCG, a green tea extract, but now it wil be even more potent. Combine that with Celsius’ winning MetaBoost energy blend, and you’ll have a hell of a drink.
The green teas will come in two flavors: Peach Mango and Raspberry Acai. But sound great, but I’m more interested in the Raspberry Acai. Acai has gained a lot of popularity recently as a potent antioxidant. Adding Acai into the already powerful and healthy MetaBoost mix should be a positive thing for Celsius.
Celsius also recently unveiled new can designs across the board. New flavors and new cans? Sounds like a winning month for Celsius.
UPDATE: Right on the heels of this release, Celsius gave out a new coupon code if you’re interested in trying the new teas. Find the coupons here: Celsius Green Tea Coupon. THe offer only lasts till Sept 29th, 2008. So jump on this!
